So corporate America cut cost some other way - and that has increasingly been by cutting, charging workers more for heath care or eliminating health care all together! Did I say NO to your idea? ...........Consumption tax (VAT or sales tax) with no tax on food or medical AND with even maybe a minimum so the real poor don't pay at all - charges those who spend the most on crap. And for gawds sake tax oil more! [edit] And a tax on mini storages - if you have so much crap you can't store the overflow in your double car garage - then get taxed!
