I think the onus is on Apple to adapt to the market, not the other way around. The chipset inside the iPhone 5 is compatible with China Mobile's TD-SCDMA network as well as TD-LTE. A compatible handset shouldnt be that big a deal. I would wager quite a bit that the issues with launching on China Mobile are related to issues outside of the hardware. I dont think it is a coincidence that the two operators that are the most powerful within their respective home regions (China Mobile and NTT Docomo) are also the two that havent launched the iPhone. CM, Docomo and Apple are all used to getting their own way so negotiations are probably not easy. Slacker
