The chipset inside the iPhone 5 is compatible with China Mobile's TD-SCDMA network as well as TD-LTE. A compatible handset shouldnt be that big a deal. But it's a new sku for Apple, correct? 6 sku's if you consider colors and memory. That doesn't seem a low bar for Apple these days. Yes negotiations are not easy, but the iPhone has been on the market since '07. The point that if they haven't got it done by now, they may never holds water. Especially with Apple losing market share.
