I think that the handling of obamacare by the supreme court proves that the conservative judges are not quite so predictable. However, Obama's appointments deliberately defy their role in the court. The role of the supreme court is to assure constitutionality of laws, not decide if the constitution is right or wrong. This is something that the liberal judges simply don't understand.
