I've said here many times that we could cut our military spending in half and still have a military capable of meeting any defensive challenge. Might mean though we would have to stop being war mongers. I'm puzzled by the links and blog site you gave. I didn't see where he offered much in advice on debt - other than to say it was high. He claims to be the best economic predictor since 1989 - but I found nothing to support that. Have you read the book?
