I kid you not.And its 200 miles north of Toronto. Please don't remind me of those nasty winters of past.
The skating path on the Rideau canal was usually open before xmas and closed down in late March.
Last year I doubt that the canal was open for skating more than 3 weeks if at all.
Last year here in Sudbury I did not have to shovel until December 28th 2011 and again in February 2012.
Shoveled twice in one winter season! What little snow we had was gone by March 10th with record breaking
summer like temperatures of 25 Celsius.
Winter like conditions allow traditional winter activities such as snowshoeing, sledding, cross country skiing, outdoor skating. In the 70's we were able to engage in those activities for close 5.5 months a year.
Now its getting closer to 3 months of winter. Seniors are loving this!
Today December 7th there is no snow on the ground and forecast is not calling for anything but a few flurries for following 7 days. Its wonderful.
Filled up the Toyota Tundra with 100 liters of fuel. Doing my part to add carbon to the atmosphere just in case man made global warming is a fact.
We will have to wait another decade or so to disprove the fanatics of Anthropological Climate change.
