vp from Teradyne called my office from Japan Semicon! now that's committment. he states that relatively nothing has changed. the street considers asia a serious threat, but relative to teradyne, he states it is not. firms must move to the new testers relative to 64dram if they want to be in that market. samsung told them that they will be "agressive" about getting the necessary funds to purchase the teradyne testers for 64mg. he expects an excellent remaining 1997 and 1998. teradyne supplies 90% of micron's testers and movement to the 64mg is strong there and need to upgrade agressive.
