Those not looking for work should not be counted in the UnEmployment numbers. If one was to argue that those who give up looking for work should be counted than one should also count all those who retired as well. The point being, if you choose not to look for work than one must assume you do not need or want to work. I wonder though , how many who do work do so 'off the books' ?
