I didn't know that. The John Wayne movies always leave stuff out! -g-
The truth is way more amazing than I've ever seen in a movie. I listened to that book on a long road trip and would get up in the middle of the night to listen to. Without the six-gun and the Winchester the West would never have been won. I found an old advertisement for a bullet that said "Will stop Indian and small game with bone crushing prostrating shock that might otherwise require a second shot."
