(Knock on wood) I've been very lucky health wise, but every time I get involved all I see is a whole bunch of people trying to make a whole bunch of money, or trying to cover their ass endlessly. Or both. Last time I had a physical they said "well your EKG isn't perfect" so I end up with a cardiologists appt , who then orders another EKG and an electrocardiograph and a stress test. And then tells me I'm in great shape. Duh, I do cardio exercise for 80 minutes almost 365 days a year, before all these people lift their f'ing head from the pillow in the morning. In my very humble opinion, most of the medical "industry" is a scam, sucking the last dollar from every patient opportunity. It's capitalism at its worst, it's the guy doing an oil change and telling you you need $1000 of other work... and since you know nothing about that stuff and don't want to get stuck you say "ok". What started me on this rant... I need a nap! <g>
