<<<< At any rate, Steve, your claim is that Krugman is an "extreme" economist>>>>

Okay, John, I watched the show this morning and there was little missing Krugmans comments. But since I really have no desire to argue the fine point as to whether he is extreme or not, I'll modify my comments; ........Some think Krugman is extreme and until his extreme stimulus amounts are actually put into practice and tried - we have no idea whether they are extreme in real life or not. I will also add that the amounts of debt that he would realize is also extreme by ANY previous measure. Soooo, some think he is extreme - and I will suggest that includes him. Being extreme is not a bad thing John, but it does make any ideas you have politically problematic.

For example, I'm on the extreme edge of what we should do about GW (might have something to do with my elevation above sea level). I'm positive I'm right, but I also know it is foolish to think the rest of the world is with me on that. Does that make me wrong? Absolutely not.
