Hillary's numbers are important for that they are not; before she ran in 2008 her negatives were around 50%, a high hurdle to overcome that she failed to meet because of Obama's popularity. Her tenure as SS has repositioned her in the public mind, giving her an open path to the nomination over much weaker likely rivals.
