I had a great phone conversation with Mr. Martinez today, too bad it was on my cellular (16 minutes). He said demos had been on-going, as someone on here had suggested (Tim ?). He also said that he expected more before the year is out, as it is continuous thing. Demos have been given for different groups and stepper companies. There will be no public demo, "event" or press release expected. He said many of these people prefer anonymity, and that it why it has been done this way.
He seems to really enjoy talking tech stuff, XRL, IBM, Intel etc but seemed a little testy regarding the press release, demo date questions. There is NO doubt in this man regarding XRL and it's future. He says there is great interest and that he already has orders lined up for the XRL machines. He was very happy about the IBM XRL $700 mil plant which he thought was great news for JMAR. He feels as though IBM has really turned the business (chip-making) upside down with its combo of 12" chips, copper wire and XRL, and Intel should be worried for what the results could mean to them. He thought Intel has made a huge mistake going the EUV route. He said that JMAR could have gone the EUV route also, and that they could make EUV "at any time" because they have had a continuing program on it. He pointed out that JMAR was part of the Intel consortium on EUV, but feels XRL is the way to go.
