Why are you conveniently ignoring the time before 30 years ago, which represents the full trend?

What you are doing is manipulating the facts in an effort to bolster your perspective. The reality is that historically wealth has pooled among the wealthy, as anyone would expect it to do. That there was a temporary lull during the 70s is not supporting your position at all. When the country does well, the wealthy do extraordinarily well. Again, no surprise.

If I made any point for you, it is that your claim of wealth being a "zero sum game" is total bull. As you can see from your own chart, it isn't. When the wealthy get wealthier, so, too, do the poor and middle class.

The fact that the poor envy the wealthy is nothing new.
