Doug Fowler - ****Off Topic**** So who do you think makes the 'best keyboards'? I'm a stickler for keyboard quality also, and my opinion is that the Lexmark made keyboards that come (or used to come) with IBM's business computers (not the Aptiva) are by far the best. The keyboard that came with the LCD CPQ feels cheap by comparison, I don't know who makes Dell's keyboards, or how good they are/feel. Also agree with you on the thinkpad, I'm writing this on one, also think the touchpads on many laptops these days do not have the precise ability to move the cursor that the trackpoint has. I have heard that Toshiba laptops have nice keyboards, have not spent much time on one though, so can't say.

John

PS - I have a 486/DX2 IBM Valuepoint with one of those Lexmark keyboards (they also made the keyboard on my Thinkpad), and you can be sure when the machine goes the keyboard will stay!
