Bloomberg / demographics thing ..............................................................................................

This was on Bloomberg TV this morning (Dec 11, 2012) :

bloomberg.com

As often happens, when (Bloomberg TV "personality") Scarlet Fu ... "gets going" on some of these segments,

I am left thinking : Whoa ! Slow down ! I want to "take this in."

The only solution is to find the video (posted later) on Bloomberg TV's website, and then watch it again.

---------------------------

Anyway, what I found most interesting was :

right at the end, she said that a look at when various countries "window of opportunity" ... "closed" has :

Japan's closed in 1995

and the U.S.'s should close in 2015

-------------------------------------

I have often looked at what happened in Japan from roughly 1990 through now ...

as a possible guide for what we in the U.S. should expect,

ever since we (in my opinion) started our own version of the Japan / 1990 or so ... peak / subsequent decline.

This "window of opportunity" ... "closed" - stuff is ( I think) another indication : no quick return to "good times" in the U.S.
