Two vanity plates that I remember: HIPCHIX for my daughter's business venture of a scrapbooking store; MAYCUP for a fellow I met who was the make-up man on the Duke's of Hazzard set. He drove a Rolls Royce, the only one I saw in the parking lot.

For my neighborhood patrols I try to practice capturing license plate numbers on cars I see. The easiest to remember are three letters and three numbers. Washington State seems to have a mnemonic system that makes it easier to remember, such as having two each of a letter and a number, and one other letter and number. Or numbers in sequence or numbers such as 279 (2+7=9). My truck license has three 2s, one 0, and one 1. And two letters. I have no trouble remembering my license number.
