Yep.. investing in a private company has certain advantages, but certainly liquidity.

Our family did it because we know the family of the CEO has a LOT of skin in the game as well.

And I believe, in my heart, that it's nearly a recession proof business, especially with regard to DNA forensics where the best tech available is a necessity for solving crimes.

The food safety market is going to require Gov't regulation requiring the meat/vegetable processors to use the best tech.. These guys are afraid that it might result in their processing operations being shut down more frequently for cleaning.

But it's just going to take a few more E.Coli, or Listeria outbreaks and it will happen.

The Forensics market is really starting to take off.. M-Vac's CEO is getting "cold called" by interested customers (and very notable ones at that) as the word of mouth marketing starts to build momentum.

The nice thing is that they have a cash burn rate that is less than $1 million at the moment, so it shouldn't take much for them to become profitable as momentum builds over the coming year.

I'm looking at their becoming a public company.. And we've discussed options. But I want them cash flow positive, and at least near profitable status before they do it. It will be easier for the market markers to support the stock.
