Spur Ventures strategy to focus on making strategic investments in mineral projects in lower risk jurisdictions and in businesses where Spur’s skills and knowledge could enhance the success of the venture. The Company is focused on potential acquisitions in gold, base metals or other mineral related assets or businesses that are in advanced stages of development where the balance of technical and geopolitical risk will result in increased value to Spur’s shareholders within a short time frame.

Company will have approximately $30 million (or approximately $0.50 per share) in cash or cash equivalents, all held in Canadian financial institutions, to invest in executing this strategy.

Key people

John R. Morgan – President, CEO & Director

Mr. Morgan, is a geologist with a 35 year career as a mining executive who joined the Company in April 2012. He has been involved in all phases of mine exploration, planning and development, primarily in gold and coal in a variety of jurisdictions including Central and South America and Canada. He has participated in a diverse range of corporate activities, including technical reports and feasibility studies, corporate mergers and acquisitions and major corporate financings. Mr. Morgan is also a fluent Spanish speaker.

Mr. Morgan is responsible for executing the Company's strategy to pursue potential acquisitions in gold, base metals or other mineral assets or businesses that are in more advanced stages of development where the balance of technical and geopolitical risk is intended to result in increased value to Spur's shareholders within a relatively short time frame.
