Eric, no one other than fellow NRA members are going to be impressed by slogans like "You can pry my gun from my cold, dead hands."

People are getting tired of the same old response from gun enthusiasts who say, "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." That's like peaceniks that always fear the potential "overreaction" when terrorists attack. That's a great way to preserve the status quo, and we're seeing where that's leading us.

I read an article saying that mass shootings aren't any more numerous these days than before. Just the exposure. But there is no way in the world of instant news, Facebook, and Twitter that we're ever going to reduce the attention given to this sort of stuff.

I also read something from Morgan Freeman saying that we pay too much attention to the assholes who do these shootings. Well that's bad, I agree, but how can we not? By passing a law stating that the names and the pictures of these assholes should never be posted in public? That'll never work.

So what do you think? More of the same, as long as you still have your gun rights? Remember that I don't believe that gutting the 2nd amendment in situations like these will lead to a slippery slope. Sorry, but that's the way I feel.
