Legislation also affects how we help the mentally ill. Right? And tough gun legislation does do something. From what I've read the states with tough legislation have fewer gun deaths. Also, we don't know what massacres gun laws have already stopped. We don't know who, in the tougher requirement states, didn't get a weapon to go shoot up the local elementary.
