Could you be just a little bit more specific? "A lot of the taxes" doesn't really explain what you're referring to. I included the taxes reportable in the federal income tax return. State income taxes, excise taxes, real estate taxes...the poorer pay these at higher rates than do the rich...I posted the link to show you the specifics. The article concludes that when all of these taxes are factored in the US' tax system is only mildly progressive. This defeats the argument so often heard that the poor don't pay any taxes. Al
