Holder hints at crackdowns on gun ownership weaselzippers.us There are said to be 300 million guns in American's hands. The FBI says its done 16.8M background checks for gun ownership so far in 2012. I'll bet we go over 20 million next year with all this gun banning talk. Gun sales are up under Obama, partially because of fears a move will be made to ban guns. Surveys say between 40 and 50% of homes in America have firearms. Such surveys may understate that a bit since people in states with restrictive laws may lie. We should assume about half the country are gun owners. Do liberals know that the more they preach about banning guns in the media, the more guns the other half of the country will buy? No, they never realize the unintended consequences of what they do.
