The way slavery is in the constitution, Brucie, is that when the constitution was written, slaves were not considered MEN, but property. Thus, when the constitution was granting rights to American citizens, slaves were EXCLUDED. Comprende', dumbass?

This was explicitly corrected by the thirteenth amendment to the constitution.
