The number of people with concealed weapons permits will always be small......probably less than 5%. It's about 3% in Colorado now. If that theater shooter had picked any one of the other 6 theaters that were showing the Batman film within 20 minutes of his residence, he would have almost certainly been confronted with an IMMEDIATE armed response. The outcome could have been VERY different. But he chose the one theater (not the closest to his residence or the largest) that had NO CONCEALED WEAPONS signs posted outside. (Aurora Colorado, Va. Tech, Oregon Mall, Sikh temple, Fort Hood, Conn. school) all NO CARRY ZONES ........insuring an armed response was at least 5 minutes away. Please show me one multiple (3+) death shooting of this type in the US that DID NOT occur in a NO CONCEALED WEAPON zone. We are all waiting. As for the JAPANESE Message 28290148 more Japanese kill THEMSELVES in any year than the number of suicides and gun homicides COMBINED in the US.......no violence there. The Japs even have the cost factor worked out. If you jump in front of a train, they charge the family for how long it disrupts traffic.........how long it takes them to scrape you off the tracks and get things going again.
