Andrew: I believe your results. Are you using scsi or eide drive? 95 or NT? I'm using NT and scsi and had always set the diskbuff on a separate drive. The part of Gary's response I didn't understand was the part about NT and concurrent I/O. I need to dwell on that a while. Mike
