I didn't expect them to do any different. They are caught between a rock and a hard place and the only choice they have is to ask people to move and leave everything else behind. BTW, outlook does not support POP3 or IMAP accounts as well, so for a lot of people outlook is not even a choice. And if you are going to want to attract people that are on google services (calendar, gmail, contacts etc), switching to outlook.com is not a solution.
