Haim,

The differential of distance is distance over time or velocity. The differential of velocity is velocity over time or acceleration. Etc, etc, etc.

VIX over time is the change of VIX for each increment of time of interest... whether it be minute, hours, days or what have you.

I tried a 5 day ROC and it DOES seem helpful in showing extremes and market turns if you use a signal line with it.
