The USA never does anything in a well thought out, gradual manner. We have 90 degree turns after something has become obvious to 95% of the population.

I have a farm and I'm acutely aware of the fact that a very useful fertilizer, Ammonium Nitrate, was taken off the market due to nut cases. There were only a few cases of its misuse, and it had an enormous beneficial use. Yet it was removed. We will have to get to the same point with guns, and that is still a long ways in the future IMHO.
