That's part of what it takes to develop a system....Even once they are created historical data should be maintained.

It's lots of work. Most people don't realize that.

I know one guy who started developing his system in 1977 using god-knows-what computer driving CPM with the old 8 or 9 inch floppies. In those days, things like intra-day charting did not exist. He had a steno pool typing in data in some fashion (I forget the particulars) so he could 'track' intraday.

Even today he still compiles data like mad and looks for more tipoffs as to market direction. He never stops trying to learn something he has little or no experience with.
