It always sneaks up on us, eh? 2 weather storms in next week should pack some punch for US...blizzard in Iowa/Wisconsin tomorrow. Next Thurs/Fri storm currently over Pacific NW should be a nice blizzard/ice storm for Oklahoma/Arkansas up to Great Lakes.

Throw in sunspot 1635 coming around the bend.

Maybe this is our "Mayan"/Bradley sunspot. I hope not...an event like in 1859 would set us back trillions of dollars by shorting power grid, blacking out satellites, etc...but that's a drop in the bucket.
