This is really not consistent with what I'd heard on the news, so I wonder which is correct.

20 minutes is an insane amount of time for a response in that situation; I had been left with the impression they were there almost immediately.


I agree......this 20 minute response must be confirmed. I will say I heard one of the surviving teachers say it seemed like about 20 minutes..............very hard to accept or fathom. Just an example...... I have a state police barracks 3 miles away. If pressed, I could, after receiving a call, be there in 4 minutes. I think the "SandyHook" area is less than 2 miles from Newtown center. Something is VERY wrong. How can THIS not be a major topic of discussion?????
