Bill,

The "doom and gloom...about the PC market" has not been reflected in the current stock prices of Compaq, Dell, Gateway, etc. The PC inventory glut has been expected to be over by the pre-Christmas season, and most of the new concern has been over Japanese competition, not unit growth.

You statements about INTC and the PC market are correct, but DLJ has agreed with me, this morning, on INTC's unique position and INTC irrelevance to today's semi-equip problems.
