Lee, glad to know I'm not alone in seeing some benefits in short-term trading. Your idea of a combination of stocks and Options is a good one. I was so clumsy in doing Puts before that I just concentrated in Calls;--- now, I find it necessary to devise a way to combine Calls and Puts in these Pausing or Landing phase of AMAT's Yoyo Staircase Pattern moves...

I do trade in LEAPs and short-term options in my IRA and in a joint account with my wife. She just established a brokerage account inside her IRA and pending approval of options trading capability, this Thanksgiving weekend I devised a short-term trading plan for stocks for her. Also, I am in the process of converting another joint mutual fund account into a brokerage with Options trading capability... So, in the short-term I'll be busy also handling stocks.

With stocks, it's really safe. If the stock should fall to the 20s, I'll just switch to LEAPs and hope to duplicate the feat I've told this thread...
