Sure... to the shareholders.... it doesn't just "disappear" is the point... In this case you are saying it gets "wasted"... but it doesn't unless you take the perspective of the one person as all there is... when you take others into account.... someone else gets that "value"... as you point out... the shareholders, or who ever. So to worrying about it going somewhere good... you are right of course... but that wasn't my point. As I said to him (if you go back far enough in the posts... like 10 times, LOL) I just can't be bothered. That was my original point... I pay higher taxes than I need to because I can't be bothered counting all those beans, saving receipts, futzing with accounting gimmicks and all... I never said I thought it was a "worthy cause". LOL Nice to see you over here... major upgrade to the board. DAK
