WDC press release:

wdc.com

I haven't been following this industry long enough to analyze this article properly. Any help would be appreciated.

From what I can tell a lot of the charge comes from dropping 3 inch drives. Does this affect APM? From what I can find APM is into 3.5 inch drives. Yes?

It also looks like the focus is on backing off TFI in favor of MR. From what I can tell APM is producing MR in volume now. Is that correct?

Am I correct in assuming that quite a few of those PCs that Santa is going to be hauling down the chimney in a few weeks will include parts made by APM?

Maybe I'm brain dead stupid or something but I really don't understand why this stock is trading at 16 bucks a share. The last 3 times I was this puzzled about a stock price were QNTM last fall at 26 (pre split), AMAT last fall at 28 and CTXS last spring at 10. I'm sure glad I was smarter back then and was able to avoid making 3 to 7 times my investment in the following six months by staying away from those bad beat up companies.
