At some point people are going to say look, my monthly social security check will only buy 2 loaves of bread and a bar of soap and will be fed up with the whole thing. Social Security was lied into law by lawmakers and FDR claiming that stocks are too risky and you can lose everything. Seems to me when you pay in $300,000 over a lifetime and only get back 2 loaves of bread and bar of soap a month, that you have been ripped off by the company store of forced investments, and that so called safe Govt bonds, turned out to be a lot riskier than the stock market.
