Stuff added to this post. Didn't realize it was double posting rather than editing...

The liberal press seems hell bent on forgetting the right to bear arms via the 2nd amendment was to allow citizens to protect themselves from excessive taxation... tyranny. Sadly, my interpretation means I should also have the right to have a nuclear weapon or anything else the government has at its disposal to steal from its citizens. we have too many nuts in the world to allow this so I think we have modified CONSIDERABLY the 2nd amendment without doing so legally .. which is what outlawing automatic weapons does.
Not to argue but what proof do you have about raising taxes, seems the country did economically well w/Clinton tax rates.
The economy sucked under Clinton until Gindrich took the house and it was clear Hilary's health care plan would not pass. The market took off in 1996.

Remember Bush 1 raised taxes and we tossed the liar (read my lips) out and gave Clinton a chance. We had a S&L meltdown and I recall housing in the Bay Area didn't bottom until 1995. I bought my house in 1995 when housing was way down and a lot of people were suffering, looking for ways to make money, etc... It was a GREAT time to have cash to invest... IBM crashed, Intel and MSFT were very low (like today) ... etc.. etc...
And cutting the military doesn't work?
I'd love to see it cut by 50% over 10 years.. If other countries want our protection, let them pay for it. They should also foot their share of the bills for the UN and any UN "peacekeeping" forces.
