That was an amazing piece by the NYTs what with all of the interactive links and videos..........made me really tear up. Stevens Pass is my home base, and I know the mt well, but I'm not into skiing out of bounds..........never have been. What is so difficult to understand is why these seasoned and expert skiers ignored the avalanche warnings that morning? Extremely sad!
