Somewhat makes sense. My wires are also color coded but they're orange, green and yellow. I can't think that makes a difference. I'm home alone today and I may just pull that big TV away from the wall and see if I can rethink this anew. I sure hope I can figure this out. I went back earlier this morning to look at my collection of tapes and DVDs to see how badly I'd miss them if I can't make this work. There are a number of them that I really want. Worst case I'll have to see of I can find someone to transfer the important tapes to a DVD and I'll have to settle for watching those on my computer monitor, which I've done in the past anyway.
