Regarding the lumber market ... Doubt high lumber prices are bullish for home construction. More like strengthening construction market is driving prices higher. Might have to do with hurricane Sandy and the 50 billion or so property loss - and reconstruction. Believe there is good correlation between strong lumber market as early indicator to future inflation and higher equity prices but I'd have to take a closer look to be sure.
