Not really.....they were very cold characters. The armed guard did exchange gunfire but when they retreated into the school building, he didn't follow but waited for support....he didn't prevent bomb blasts at all. In fact, SWAT teams, though on the premises, didn't enter the building until all the shooting was over and the perps had committed suicide. Maybe a half hour or more after the shooting stopped. Then they began to clear room by room and get bomb squads to come in and disarm bombs that were left behind or were unexploded. All of the killings took place in a time span of about 15-30 minutes. Students were still being found in the building hours later....
