How would one know whether there are angels or demons or not ,or how many there might be?
Sounds to me like you're not very sure yourself, have you seen any lately ? But you do believe in the end that you are going to that "other immaterial" dimension correct?
Then as William Lane Craig pointed out, there is no good & evil really for all those Canaanite children slaughtered in the OT, for they were going to a better immaterial place than this correct? Just as the evil that was slavery was justified as that "goodness" being imparted by a self styled morally superior race that held itself in possession of this magic theology of salvation & ascent into heaven? There is no Evil deed if by its outcome leads to the other world of heavenly immateriality, correct?
Tis truely wonderful who gets to be the judge & determine this but one easily surmises the running thread originally thru all of this is seen easily guided by an innate desire of men to equate themselves with "God" , when you strip all of the humbleness bare . For what is the outcome that you get to see the tribe join together up in heaven & be one with God in this immaterial world? Do you feel "Godly" brumar? Have moments when you are feeling this high & mighty powerful inspirational Oneness with the Creator? Have knowledge over all others? Do you think God really looks like you & you were created in his image brumar?

This is all easily explained by naturalism btw, its called anthropomorphism , though Naturalism has extremely powerful rationales all its own for a theism without the need for deification or justification for an "otherly" immaterial world ever being necessary. Because for all practical purposes there is no beginning & all you see is eternal already in one great Nature's continuum. Its is no more useful to think of "Creation" as having any meaning as it is to think of when water first came into being, its pretty irrelevent really. Except to people that wish to complicate, obfuscate & deify themselves but meaning can always be found in Humanism itself, the proper study of Man is man himself.
The simplest explanations are most often found to be the truth, so there goes your magical medieval world of Mohammed & Christianity and just look what we found out what the Ancient Greeks theorized almost 3000yrs ago, atoms indeed are found comprising all reality, thats pretty good theorizing really , now imagine that. |
