Veris Gold (VG-T) closes $15.2-million offering Dec 18, 2012 - News Release Veris Gold Corp. has closed its previously announced offering of units of the company. The company sold 7.2 million units at a price of $2.10 per unit representing gross proceeds of $15.12-million. Each unit comprises one common share of the company and one-half of one common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder to purchase one common share of the company at an exercise price of $2.35 until Dec. 18, 2016. The offering was made pursuant to an agency agreement dated Dec. 6, 2012, between the company and a syndicate of agents co-led by Haywood Securities Inc. and Casimir Capital Ltd., and includes Global Hunter Securities LLC. Global Hunter Securities LLC was engaged to offer the units only in the United States. The company intends to use the net proceeds to finance the initial development of Starvation Canyon mine at Jerritt Canyon, finance a portion of the additional bonding for future reclamation obligations arising from the current years investment into a second tailings facility, finance the completion of regrading existing rock disposal areas at Jerritt Canyon, the final item remaining under the consent decree, and for working capital and general corporate purposes.
