I'm SO confused. (what's new?)

I'm reading simultaniously of a "fund" you put together for a "client", and a fund being talked about for the thread participants. Are they the same?

Also, isn't a "fund" sold in shares? How can you have a fund for a client of one person? Are shares being sold in this fund?

And on the talk of putting together a "fund" from this group, wouldn't there be more merit in the idea of an "investment club" instead, which doesn't sell shares based on a NAV price and doesn't have expenses to pass along to shareholders.

Personally, I would only be interested the investment club idea, since there are many very good, well managed and experienced high tech funds to choose from, that are easy to switch in and out of.

Those are some of my first thoughts on the subject, since I will not be able to go to Vegas this winter.

Feedback?
