vt, do you remain invested in metals-yes-miners-no only? And: thank you for many helpful comments last year. I wished I'd heeded your warning written in mid December 2011: "I am not expecting sustained rallies for a while... actually for quite a while. I expect 2012 to be a very rough time, similar to 2008. I will not buy before I sense an "all clear" later in 2012. In the meantime, I will continue to hold equal portions of gold bullion (like PHYS/GTU) and cash. IOW, I don't believe that 2012 will be a time to try to make profits. I believe that it will be a time to be defensive and preserve capital." Sigh, yes.
