Cable news is a self-selecting niche for less than 1% of the population. Each of the network news broadcast swamps all of cable news every night, and together it's a total wipeout. Cable news is like a weird little terrarium in the classroom worth checking out now and then to see what strange stuff has popped up, but that's about it.
