But John, we are in different times with different players than when Clinton was in office. To think we could get anywhere with those tactics today is nonsense in my opinion. You have to play the hand you have been dealt - and no matter how much you would like a new hand, you're stuck with this one. This congress. And I think it weakens Obama's hand when Krugman is endlessly harping on his negotiating style.
