There were 26 dead because Rs killed the ban on assault weapons in this country. There is no need for the average citizen to have an assault weapon with multi bullet magazines. Take a look at the Second Amendment. Ever read the news....if you did, then you'd know that the so called assault weapons ban had no effect on curbing gun violence.....
