"Socrates as a boy was probably groomed by adult homosexual pedophiles."

No. You are conflating pedophilia with pederasty. Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, etc. etc. etc. very likely acted as the eromenos in their teens and as the erastes as more mature adults. This was considered a moral good for the education of youth and to bring them into a healthy manhood.

You only need to read what the Greeks said about it to understand. A boy unwanted as an eromenos would very likely have suffered emotional disturbances and a loss of self esteem and respect. Through the centuries, Greek thought changed on these matters (as thought always does) and the social mores and expectations changed.
